All Things Common™ (ATC) is the benevolence division of Remnant Christian Assembly. At our discretion and, of course, under the leading of the Lord, we seek to be a blessing to those in need – in the body of Christ (first) and to all men.
Foundational passages of scripture for ATC include the following:
As Luke stated in Acts, we are to be sensitive to the needs as others; yet, we do not support or encourage the covetousness of someone else’s goods. As John states, we are called to help when we see need—and not just when people claim to have a need. As Paul states in Galatians, we do so when we have opportunity (and the saints come first). As Paul states in 2 Corinthians, we will not put anyone else or the ministry in harm’s way to comfort or relieve someone else. God does not require such acts.
In addition to providing financial support, we also counsel and guidance those in need. Otherwise, we’d simply be supporting ill and foolish behavior, as well as abuse of the system. Therefore, in accordance with these passages of scripture, as opportunity presents itself and as the ministry is able, we bear the burdens of those in need of assistance and guidance.
