The early church continued stedfastly in the breaking of bread.
Many "church folk" frequently joke about the saints of God and their affection for food. There is, however, a message concerning the people of God and eating that we should be aware of and strive for. "Breaking of bread", akin to "fellowship", is a time of intimacy, a time of learning, a time of encouragement, and a time of sharing.
In our society, in many cases, we will sit down and eat with anyone. During Biblical times, taking the time to sit down and eat with someone was a mark of trust and personal intimacy. The people of God should have a closeness that reflects this factor. The people of God should have an affinity for one another — caring for one another, looking out for one another, sharing with one another, etc.
Remnant Christian Assembly encourages its community to treasure and partake in the "breaking of bread", scheduling events accordingly.
